The Holidays Are Upon Us!

Hello Cyberworld!

Since my last post, two things have happened to our family...Sierra's birthday and Halloween!

Princess blowing out her candles on her real birthday!

Princess's birthday was great this year.  It was Prince's turn for the big party this year, so Princess got the small party.  While the party itself was small, it was still a lot of fun!  The theme was Princess and the Frog.  Not only did we watch the movie, the girls had their fingernails painted and got their hair put into braids.

In addition to her party, the day of Princess's party was her last soccer game of the fall season.  She did great!  She scored two goals and made 4 almost goals as well.  Princess is turning into quite the little soccer player!

After scoring a goal!  She was so happy!

The holidays have officially started, with the start being Halloween.  This year, the whole family got into the mood with all of us dressing up.  Prince was a frontiersman, although if you ask him, he was a pioneer, and what a handsome one he was!  Princess dressed up as a black and white bunny.  She sure was cute!  Brian and I dressed up in a couple costume, we went as punks.

We started are Halloween weekend with the kids at school.  They each had a class party.  Then on Saturday, our neighborhood threw a carnival for all of our kids.  It was a lot of fun, even if the rain did force the party inside one of the vacant houses.  We ran the cake walk booth.  All of the kids had a lot of fun, and so did I!

Then, later on that night, Brian and I took turns taking the kids trick or treating.  We had a great time watching our kids go from house to house, and also seeing all the other kids' in their costumes while we passed out candy at our house.

Because October 31st was on a Sunday this year, most everyone celebrated on the 30th, so we actually got to celebrate two different nights.  On Sunday night, we decided to have a bonfire in our driveway.  We had a lot of fun with our friends that stopped by.

She is SUCH a good pumpkin cleaner-outer.
All he wanted to do was cut the pumpkin pieces into small diced pieces.

Over all, our kickoff to the holidays was wonderful, and we are really looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday!

Kids are getting big!

So today's post is a two-parter.  For one thing, today is Princess's 6th birthday.  Time sure goes by fast!  She has some big birthday plans ahead of her.  Today, she will get to have pizza and cupcakes, along with opening up one of her presents.  Then on Saturday, she is having her party that is Princess and the Frog themed.  At the party we will be watching the movie, getting all the kids' hair in braids, painting thier nails, and playing games.   Not to mention, a Tiana cake.  It should be a fun party.  In addition to it being Princess's birthday, she found her first loose tooth this morning.  She is so excited about the upcoming visit by the tooth fairy.

The second part of today's post was what went on this last weekend.  Brian's parents were in town and we very busy.  We went to the bike park, swimming at the hotel, the dinosaur park, the pumpkin patch, Heritage Park, and more.  The kids had a wonderful time seeing their grandparents.

That is pretty much all that has really happened in the last week or so, so "see" you next time!

Waaayyy too long!

Wow!  It has been waaayyyy too long since I last blogged!  There goes my resolve!  Time to try to play catch up, and then keep on top off this!

Well, a lot has happened since I last blogged in July.  For one thing, on July 20th, Brian and I celebrated 8 years of marriage!  I love you Babe!  We went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner, Tucanos.  Tucanos is a Brazilian buffet that serves FABULOUS food!

In August, we took a family vacation to Yellowstone.  We spent three days camping, and had a great time.  We saw all the major things to see, including a bull moose that decided to graze just 20 feet behind our campsite.

Another thing that happened in August was my 27th birthday.

The final thing that happened in August was that Brian and Prince were both baptized.  Our church went out to the Provo River, where our Paster first baptized Brian, and then Brian baptized Prince.  Of course, since the water is actually snow melt, it was really cold.  In fact, as you can see from the pictures, Prince didn't even want to put his feet in the water.  It was a wonderful night!

The biggest thing to happen was that my "baby" started Kindergarten.  Princess is now a big girl in elementary school.  Time sure flies!

In September, you would think that life would have calmed down a bit, but no!  Not here!  Both the kids are playing on soccer teams, and doing great.  Prince loves to play goalie, and plays that position every game for half of the game.  Princess is shaping up to be quite a forward, and has scored many goals throughout the season.

In addition, we had another thing happen to us, I am now a full-time University student.  I went back to school, taking 12 credits this semester.  I have to say, I have the BEST husband, because he has totally picked up the slack that this has caused.  Not only does he do all the practice and discovery club running after work, but most of the time he makes the kids dinner and washes the dishes.

In October, so far, my biggest baby has just had a birthday.  That is right, Prince is now 8 years old.  This kid sure is lucky!  Starting on Friday, Prince got to celebrate his birthday at school with cupcakes.  Then on Saturday morning, Prince  celebrated again at soccer.  After that, on Saturday afternoon, he had a HUGE party here at the house.  We had about 17 "pirates" running around the house, playing games and hunting for treasure.  Finally, on Sunday, Prince had his real birthday, where the four of us played games and had a fire.  Prince got to choose what we ate for dinner, and he chose vegetables!  What an awesome little kid I have!
