Belated Anniversary

With Brian being gone for the last few weeks, we were not able to celebrate our anniversary on the actual day.  Instead, we went out this afternoon for a little tubing on the river.  It was a lot of fun, but felt so much cooler than when I went just last week, the water seemed a lot higher too.  Apparently, Brian and I have two completely different ideas on how to go tubing.  I like to just let the current take me all over the river, while he likes to stay down the middle.  To me, it is more fun to almost ping pong across the river, going over the rapids and pushing off the rocks as they come.  He, on the other hand, loves to paddle, paddle, paddle.  He was constantly paddling to stay in the middle.  Regardless of our individual tubing styles, it was a blast.  After the river, we picked up a late lunch and headed home to get ready for my work party. 

This evening, the four of us headed over to my work for a "school is starting soon" get-together.  We had dinner there, and then played volleyball.  It was wonderful to see the amazing staff at our school.  I love my co-workers, and it was nice to be able to get all of our families together and let all the kids play. 

We are now back at home, resting from a busy day.  It was a great day, and a wonderful way to celebrate our 11th anniversary!
